Bye Bye Summer

Summer may not officially end until September 21st, but with the temps getting cooler & the end of summer Fridays at work it feels like this past weekend needed to be the last “hurrah.” My closest college friends and I had a girls weekend in Greenport and it couldn’t have been more perfect. With two bikinis, my Mario Badescu sunblock and a few September Issues in my Rebecca Minkoff bag I attempted to pack as light as possible…

My beach style is 100% all about bandeau tops, high waisted skirts, and salt soaked hair. Skip the makeup for a high SPF sunscreen, waterproof mascara, and a bit of lip stain. Extra conditioner is clutch to keep your hair smooth despite the hot sun, sand and beach water. Skip the pedicure in favor of a walk on the beach, the sand will be a natural exfoliant, and you can swipe a bold polish color on yourself. If you have colored hair, make sure you bring a hat to protect your shade, preferably a wide-brimmed straw one!

This holiday weekend was the most amazing way to end the summer. But hopefully I can sneak in one last beach day before Fall hits New York!!
