Fall in Fair Isle

9 Nov

While searching on line for an upcoming project, I found amazing deals on one of the cutest winter trends: fair isle. Like last week’s post of tartan, fair isle is more prevalent in the winter and an easy way to add color, print, patterns into your wardrobe. For an edgier look pair the print with leather leggings or a leather jacket for a more modern style. The best way to break up a chunky sweater is to add a thin belt to the smallest part of your waist, defining your shape under the cozy sweater. Want an affordable way to integrate this trend into your wardrobe? Buy a scarf like the one below (under $10) and pair with any basic long tee for a pop of print!

Top: Tory Burch skirt, AE sweater + sweater dress, Old Navy gloves, Forever 21 scarf, Juicy Couture hat. Bottom: J.Crew sweater, Old Navy tote, Keds sneakers, Juicy Couture warmers.

I absolutely love this style and despite swooning over Isabel Marant, Tory Burch and other fair isle-designers it’s just as easy to snatch this style up from Forever 21, American Eagle & Juicy Couture! Will you be wearing fair isle this winter?
